LIRT-L
LIRT-L is a moderated discussion forum open to anyone who is a member of LIRT and has an interest in the activities and organization of the Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) of the American Library Association. The list is not intended to be a forum for general discussion of information literacy issues. Those interested in those discussions should use ILI-L.
To subscribe to LIRT-L, do the following:
- Go to http://lists.ala.org.
- Click on the "Login" link, located in the top right corner of the display and login with your e-mail address and the password you set up. If you have never subscribed to an ALA listserv before, click on the "First Login" link.
- Use the "Search for Lists" function to search for -- lirt
- Click on the "lirt-l@lists.ala.org" link.
- Click on the "Subscribe" link located in the left navigation menu.
After subscribing to LIRT-L, send your messages to: lirt-l@lists.ala.org. If you are not a member of lirt-l, send your message, and the list owner will post it to the list, if appropriate.
LIRT-MEM
LIRT-MEM is automatically created from all of those who have joined LIRT. It is updated quarterly, shortly before the announcement of the availability of the most current LIRT News. It is to be used only to make announcements that are particularly beneficial to the LIRT membership, such as the availability of the most recent issue of the LIRT News, the promotion of LIRT-sponsored webinars specifically for LIRT members, etc. All other types of library instruction related messages (position announcements, conference announcements, calls for papers, award announcements, etc.) should be sent to LIRT-L.
LIRT-S and LIRT-E
The LIRT-S and LIRT-E lists serve to facilitate communication within the Library Instruction Round Table Steering Committee and Executive Board and also as a mechanism for LIRT committee members to communicate information to the LIRT Steering Committee and Executive Board. LIRT-S and LIRT-E are open only to LIRT Steering Committee and Executive Board members. However, if anyone wishes to communicate some information to the LIRT Steering Committee or Executive Board, s/he may do so by sending the message to the the appropriate list lirt-s@lists.ala.org or lirt-e@lists.ala.org, and the list owner will post it to the approprate list.
