RUSA Quarterly Update

Hello RUSA Members,

After a busy fall, it is good to take a moment and catch up with RUSA. I would like to welcome you to the new Quarterly Update where we have plenty of news from the RUSA sections to tell you. Each issue will offer readers news from each of the RUSA sections. This will enable members to catch up with ongoing committee work as well as to see any section programs or events that will be taking place. Highlights for each issue include:

Greetings from RUSA’s President as well as updates on important RUSA business
Updates from RUSA’s Emerging Leader
RUSA committee reports
News on RUSA events and programs such as webinars, awards ceremonies and special speakers at ALA conferences
RUSA Sections reports will have readers up-to-date on committee work for BRASS, CODES, ETS, RSS and STARS. Whether it is for section programs, committee projects or general committee news, these reports update members with what’s happening in RUSA sections.

While there are many items I would like to point out about the Quarterly Update issues, the most important one is the information it provides to RUSA members, both pre- and post- ALA conference. Whether you are going to ALA Annual or ALA Midwinter or you are not able to attend either, the Quarterly Update issues will keep you informed as to what happening in RUSA and its sections.
