Inclusive, progressive, empowering.

What do you value about ACRL?

I value ACRL's commitment to advancing academic librarians through professional development, advocacy, and collaboration.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

As an academic librarian, I help students succeed in their research and learning journeys. I'm here to help students develop confidence in their information literacy abilities and easily navigate library resources. Through reference sessions, workshops, and one-on-one consultations, I offer individualized assistance to individuals seeking library resources for their assignments and projects. Whether planning events, workshops, or book displays, my goal is to pique interest and raise awareness of what the library offers. Finally, my work supports campus teaching, learning, and research activities. I believe in the potential of collaboration and empathy in outreach to enhance the educational experience and positively impact our campus community.

In your own words

Life as an academic librarian is incredibly rewarding. It's a role that allows me to continuously learn, collaborate with diverse individuals, and make meaningful contributions to scholarship and education. I enjoy the dynamic nature of the work and the opportunity to support the academic growth of our campus community.
